ABOUT COOL BEDROOM

Independent Guidance for Choosing the Right Way to Cool Your Room

Cool Bedroom specialises in bedroom cooling and helps people across the UK understand the right cooling route for bedrooms and other suitable rooms before they approach a retailer, supplier or installer.

Choosing the right way to cool a room can be confusing. Portable air conditioners, monobloc systems and split air conditioning are often presented together, even though they work differently and suit different properties and rooms.

Cool Bedroom was created to make that first decision easier. Our role is to provide clear, independent guidance before you speak to a business whose main job is selling a product or installation.

Why Cool Bedroom exists

Many people know that a bedroom or another room in their home becomes uncomfortably hot but are unsure which cooling route is realistic.

The right answer can depend on much more than room size. Property permissions, outside-facing walls, outdoor-unit locations, window or door venting, noise, cooling capacity and budget can all affect which option is worth investigating.

Approaching a retailer or installer without understanding those differences can lead to unsuitable products, wasted enquiries or pressure to proceed with the option that particular business happens to sell.

Cool Bedroom puts the decision-support stage first.

How we help

The Cool Bedroom customer journey is:

1

Independent cooling guidance

Understand the main options and the practical differences between them.

2

A personalised route recommendation

Use the Cool Bedroom Finder to identify the option that appears most suitable for further investigation.

3

Clear next steps

Read the relevant guide, explore an appropriate product route or request an introduction to a suitable supply-and-install business.

The Finder does not replace a professional property assessment. It is designed to help you approach the next stage better informed and with a clearer idea of what may be suitable.

The cooling routes we cover

Portable Air Conditioning

A flexible option that does not require a permanent fitted installation, but must release warm exhaust air outside through a suitable window or door.

Monobloc Air Conditioning

A permanently fitted indoor system that normally uses two openings through an outside-facing wall and does not require a separate outdoor condenser.

Split Air Conditioning

A permanently fitted system with an indoor unit connected to a separate outdoor condenser. It can provide quiet and efficient cooling but requires a suitable outdoor position and professional installation.

What makes Cool Bedroom different

  • Route first, seller second: we help you understand which cooling method appears suitable before directing you towards a product or installation business.
  • Bedroom specialists, broader room guidance: the website is built around the practical and comfort considerations that matter in bedrooms, while the same guidance can also help with other suitable rooms.
  • Property realities included: permissions, wall suitability, venting, outdoor space, noise and installation requirements are considered early.
  • No-pressure introductions: requesting an introduction does not commit you to buying anything.
  • Clear commercial disclosure: where Cool Bedroom may receive a referral fee or affiliate commission, we explain that relationship openly.

Our relationship with cooling businesses

Cool Bedroom does not carry out installations. Where requested and where suitable coverage is available, we may introduce a customer to an independent business that supplies and installs the relevant type of system.

We aim to work with credible businesses and carry out proportionate checks on relevant business information and credentials before making introductions. These checks support our referral process but are not a guarantee of future workmanship or conduct.

The customer contracts directly with the chosen supply-and-install business. That business remains responsible for its survey, quotation, technical advice, installation, legal compliance, warranties and aftercare.

How Cool Bedroom is funded

Customers are not currently charged a separate fee for using the Finder, reading our guidance, requesting an introduction or joining the coverage waiting list.

Cool Bedroom may receive a referral fee when an introduction results in a completed sale. We may also receive commission from clearly identified affiliate or tracked product links.

These commercial arrangements help fund the service, but the Finder’s initial cooling-route recommendation is based on the customer’s answers and practical circumstances—not which route may generate the highest fee.

Building coverage carefully

Cool Bedroom is building its supply-and-install coverage gradually. We would rather explain that a suitable business is not yet available than make an introduction simply to fill a gap.

Where coverage is unavailable, customers can choose to join our coverage waiting list and ask us to contact them if a suitable business becomes available for their area and cooling route.
